Territory

ifa gallery experienced the censorship affecting artists that are showing in public maps not conform to Chinese claims; artists are also already not free to use some characters politically oriented. As a result, Dai Guangyu as an educated artist and calligrapher reacts with this painting that is both a contemptuous disregard for literary inquisition and an attractive, perplexing piece of art.

For its seventh exhibition at Art Paris, ifa gallery presents artists living in China and Vietnam. It aims to question the place of Human on the territory. This is a sensitive query of this notion of land, how it is lived and shared. Artists Zane Mellupe and Pham Ngoc Duong give us their family vision of the territory. As for Alexander Ouairy and Wu Junyong, the area is in their works of cultural, almost fantasized nature. Necessary geographical components, the concept of limit or border in the landscape inspire the painters and performers Dai Guangyu, Tiffany Chung and Nam Hyo Jun. In these works arise answers on how man builds personal or geo-political systems to make visible his territory.
