Rights To Be Forgotten

Since 25th of May a new, stricter “General Data Protection Regulation” comes into force in European Union. If the internet started as a hippie utopia, with free traffic of information, and communities unregulated by state intervention, we have reached a point where this Wild West approach is coming to an end.
Starting with a tiny dialogue, Zane Mellupe and Christophe Demaitre will explore the nature of identity regulation and ownership in this exhibition, the first of a series to expound the vast topic of data protection and how it affects us.
