It happened not only once when 200 of them took off their coats, turned them inside out and then put them back on. It had happened before that they were growing forests on their coats for years and years and they were so proud of it, so content, but the story goes that as soon as they turned them inside out their trees crashed over each other due to the friction in the area around the armpit where they had started burning. Some eyewitnesses say it was not the friction that burned the trees but rather the 200 themselves as they closed their eyes, pouring petrol on their chests, and as if by accident, throwing a glowing match behind their collar. Not everything burned, only parts. No evidence was ever found perhaps because no one was ever interested to seek any. The only proof that it ever happened could be gleaned in the moments of silence as the 200 were questioned about their forests. Maybe their silence would have been different if not for the 2000 fingers pointing at them. And some of those fingers belonged to the 200 themselves.
